How to change thumbnails for photo albums in the slideshow

The default thumbnail for each album in the slideshow is the first image in the respective album. If you do not like that thumbnail, you can change it.

Any image in the photo album can be set as thumbnail of that album.

Changing thumbnails for photo albums is easy. Go to the target photo album, right-click on any of the image, the one that you want to set as thumbnail, and click the “Set as Album Thumbnail” item from the pop up menu.

For example, if you don’t like the current thumbnail for the album “New York Giants” in one of your DVD slideshow, and you prefer the 0026 image to be the album thumbnail, just right-click the image 0026, and choose the “Set as Album Thumbnail” option, the thumbnail will change immediately.

What’s the use of album thumbnails in photo slideshow?

Album thumbnails help to make your slideshow more organized and good-looking, especially if you want to burn the slideshow to DVD for watching on TV.

In DVD slideshow, each photo album is a chapter of the slideshow movie, and the thumbnails will show up in the DVD menu before the slideshow begins to play.

So it’s recommended to choose an nice image that can represent that photo album and set it as thumbnail.
